Motorcycle / Rider Requirements

A
valid drivers license, registration document and MOT (if required) is required
A2
Riders
must sign an acknowledgment of risk / releases as required by the rallymaster.
A3
The
motorcycle must comply with all applicable UK standards for road use
A4
Swapping
motorcycles during the rally will result in the competitor forfeiting ½ (half) their final points total.
A5
The
motorcycle odometer must be operational for the entire duration of the rally. If it fails, you may no longer collect bonus
points.
A6
Failure
to complete rally check in procedures within the established deadline will result in disqualification.
A7
The
motorcycle shall, at all times, travel under its own power. Therefore, if your motorcycle breaks down and cannot be repaired
at that location, you cannot finish the rally.
Auxiliary Fuel Systems
B1
Motorcycles
do not require an auxiliary fuel system. However, this does not prohibit their use.
B2
Auxiliary
fuel systems must:
- be of a rigid construction and be firmly mounted to the motorcycle.
No movement is permitted. Bungee cords are prohibited.
- Not be constructed of anything other than metal.
- The fuel tank must be vented.
- If a fuel pump is used, it must be properly wired and fused.
- Fuel lines must not interfere with the operation of the motorcycle.
- Overall motorcycle fuel capacity is limited to 11 ½ gallons.

The
rallymaster may measure fuel capacity at any time deemed necessary.
B4
Petrol
cans / containers must not be carried at any time during the rally. Failure to comply will result in disqualification from
the rally and all future IBA Ireland rallys.
B5
All
riders will have to complete a fuel log during the rally. The fuel log will state the penalties for errors in the submitted
log.
Rider Conduct
C1
Any
attempt at cheating will result in disqualification.
C2
Riders
must not obtain outside help in planning their route. This does not preclude riders who intend to ride together from planning
a route together.
C3
Riders
must not obtain any outside help in obtaining bonus points.
C4
Riders
may not be accompanied by persons not entered in the rally. Eg your friend may not ride with you either as a pillion or on
his own bike.
C5
Riders
should act in a sportsman like fashion at all times.
C6
Wheelies,
burnouts, donuts or similar riding will result in instant disqualification.
C7
Sponsorship
is allowed. A rider shall disclose, prior to the start, any sponsorship obtained. Sponsorship shall not give a competitor
any unfair advantage. Whether the sponsorship provides unfair advantage will be decided by the rallymaster.
C8
If
you are travelling with a pillion passenger, they must not at any time, operate the Motorcycle.
Bonus Collecting
D1
The
rally is not a scavenger hunt. We expect you to follow the instructions for the bonus.

Rally
flags, unique to each rider, must be clearly visible in any photographic bonus. This includes the rally number on the flag.

Digital
photography shall be permitted for photo bonuses. However, each picture shall be viewed by the scorer using the rider’s
camera. Therefore you should ensure the camera has a suitable lcd screen to enable the scorer to view the pictures clearly.
Any rider using a digital camera for bonus collection will be required to submit a completed photo log sheet. Polaroid photographs
are acceptable. Cameras using print film are not advised. You will not be able to check the quality of your photo and you
are unlikely to be able to develop the prints on time.

Each
rider will receive a unique rally flag. Do not lose it. It will not be replaced.
D5
Rally
flags must not be disturbed, picked up or tampered with if discovered on the course.

If
participating with a pillion passenger, the passenger must appear in each photo. If the bonus states “you must appear
in the photo “, then both of you must appear.
D7
Bonus
sheets are the property of IBAUK and will not be returned after scoring.
D8
The bonus list issued to riders must be submitted for scoring. Do not lose it. It will
not be replaced.
D9
Riders
are responsible for ensuring their bonus list is complete. Each page is numbered.You must make sure you have all the pages.
D10
When
you submit your paperwork for scoring, you will not be permitted to make any changes to the paperwork.
D11
All
receipts submitted for scoring must contain date, time and location. All petrol receipts must also show gallons/ litres purchased
in addition to date, time, location. If the date, time or location is missing
or incorrect, it may be hand written but you then must include the telephone number of the establishment. If the fuel quantity
is missing/ incorrect it should be handwritten and two photos. One must show the pump and fuel quantity and the other show
the pump and garage.
